Green campaign
Iomairt uaine
Gaelic
'S e Uaineach a thathar ag ràdh ri cuideigin a tha nam ball den Phàrtaidh Uaine—'s e Pàrtaidh Uaine na h-Alba an t-ainm oifigeil a th' orra ann an Alba.
Tha am pàrtaidh ag amas air poileasaidhean uaine a chur air bhog a bhios math don àrainneachd agus cuideachail don t-saoghal.
Bheir sinn sùil air cuid de na rudan seo nas fhaide air adhart san leasan seo.

Someone who is a member of the Green Party is (a) Green —their official name in Scotland is the Scottish Green Party (Scottish Greens) .
The party aims to establish green policies that will be good for the environment and helpful for the world.
We will look at some of these things later in this lesson.
Take a look at the political party broadcast produced by the Scottish Green Party in 2010.
Here is the transcript from the first part of the broadcast.

Ceart, tha an t-àm ann co-dhùnadh a dhèanamh.
Tha gach pàrtaidh às dèidh ur bhòt a-rithist, ach chan eil ach trì dhiubh a' nochdadh air deasbadan telebhisein.
Sin agad na trì pàrtaidhean a dh'adhbharaich an staid anns a bheil sinn a' strì airson làmh-an-uachdair mar as àbhaist.
Ach dè an diofar a th' eatarra?
Na làithean sa tha dearg a' sìor fhàs coltaiche ri gorm agus gorm ri dearg.
Tha dearg a' gluasad beagan dhan taobh dheis, gorm a' gluasad beagan dhan taobh chlì.
Agus iadsan?
Chan eil fios acasan càit am bu chòir dhaibh a bhith!
Thug iad uile cùl-taic dha na bancairean, bha iad uile an lùib sgainnealan chosgaisean agus tha na trì dhiubh airson seirbheisean poblach a ghearradh.
Tha iad uile a' bruidhinn mu atharraichean, ach cha toir duine aca sin gu bith.
Gu fortanach, tha roghainn eile agaibh.
Pàrtaidh a tha airidh air a' bhòt agaibh.
Ann an Alba, tha Am Pàrtaidh Uaine mar-thà a' soirbheachadh.
Chan ann dìreach a thaobh na h-àrainneachd, ach air eucoir, obraichean, saorsa chatharra agus air seirbheisean poblach a dhìon; a' toirt togail air an eaconamaidh agus a' toirt ionnsaigh air bochdainn

Right, it's time to make a decision.
Every party is after your vote again, but only three of them appear on televised debates.
There you have the three parties that caused the situation in which we are fighting for the upper hand as usual.
But what is the difference between them?
These days red is becoming more and more like blue and blue like red.
Red moves slightly to the right, blue moves slightly to the left.
And them?
They don't know where they should be!
They all backed the bankers, they were all involved in expenses scandals and all three of them want to cut public services.
They are all talking about changes, but none of them will actually do it.
Fortunately, you have another option.
A party that deserves your vote.
In Scotland, The Green Party is already succeeding.
Not just on the environment, but on crime, jobs, civil liberties and protecting public services; boosting the economy and fighting poverty.
