Congratulations!

Meal do naidheachd!

If you have reached level B2 in the SpeakGaelic course, you must have been learning Gaelic for quite a while.

According to the language learning scale of CEFR, learners will already have completed 400 hours of learning.

When we are thinking about Gaelic today, many often think about Gaelic Medium Education.

But adult education is just as important for the future of the language.

There are two kinds of adult education: foghlam adhartach (further education), which includes courses like SpeakGaelic, and also foghlam àrd-ìre (higher education) which you would take at a university or college.

Many universities now offer cùrsaichean fo-cheum agus for-cheum (undergraduate and postgraduate courses), but Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is one of the only places which teaches courses at higher level entirely through the medium of Gaelic.
