We saw in A1 and A2 that we use 'S e | Chan e to emphasise a noun. We have learnt that we use gur e | nach e to link sentences with 'S e | Chan e . If we are talking about something in the past tense we use B' e | Cha b' e or na bu | a bu.

B' e an trèan(a) a bu luaithe nuair a bha mise anns An Ròimh.
It was the train that was quickest when I was in Rome.
Bha an trèan(a) na bu chosgaile na bha am bus ge–tà!
The train was dearer than the bus, though!
